a friend of mine had convinced me to apply for something i had never done nor considered before
our government would make a call for proposals to join international organisations for those under a certain age, last year the call had been made around february, so there i was, looking every week to see if something would come up, for two months, i was up against the clock
i lost, the call came exactly two days too late
my birthday two days before made me over-aged
when i called them, just in case, they said that it was such a case of bad luck
they were very nice however, and told me about other future possibilities
