in between years

there was a pre and an after party in the tube
last year there was a young man with an attitude: hodded, gloves on, a menacing way of looking and walking.....we were almost scared except he was about 10 years old and when getting off the tube his mum went to give him her hand.
there was also a ball suspended in the air, turning in a man's hand and arm; the man also had a set of juggling bowls next to him.
this year there were loads of people at 7.30am. Many were fast asleep, bottles of jack daniel's in their hands. One was reading a quantic physics book. There was also a very interesting urban specie on huge black boots with tremendous platforms, hairs of all shapes and colours: bold and a bright pink hair patch at the very top, there was also the bright pink and blue dreadlocks on ponytails version; they also had black and purple lipstick, loads of white make up and a rocksack in the shape of an insect's body. They were by far the most colourful lot and yet they looked and acted like they lived in a fragile cocoon.
