staying in the middle

it was like a roller coaster mood, it was up, it was down, it was the horizon, it was nothing but pitch black; those 'malditos fantasmas' had a lot to do with it; some of the ups were thanks to lovely people, who from far and close, lent a listening ear; it was a matter of the mix between practice and attitude, and since they were both choices, the decision had to do with winning that duality of pitch black and bright light, by staying in the middle (wherever the heck it was!), keeping cool, smiling and not allowing despair to settle; like she said, centered; flowers were bought, invitations sent around, with a polite request to bring alcohol, worked finished or parked; a known and easy exit, which would give some respite; the following days, the summit
